The Opportunity

We are positioning ourselves for future growth and have an exciting opportunity for a strategic business leader to join the National team as the National Director of Site Success. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the National Director of Site Success will provide strategic and management leadership of Genesys Works’ programmatic sites. They will have a strong day-to-day leadership presence and serve as a steward for the organization’s values, supporting high performance and accountability across all sites while also sharing insights learned in the field with the National team to ensure that all teams have the support needed to succeed. A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the National Director will have primary responsibility for ensuring collective site success and achievement of the organization’s overall growth goals.

The ideal candidate will be thoughtful, highly adaptable, and deliberate, ensuring that the strategic plan is reflected in the organization’s daily activities and efforts. This role will provide leadership and support to site leadership, ensuring achievement of both our mission and impact goals; while maintaining/ensuring long-term financial sustainability and viability. The National Director of Site Success will partner with other members of the Senior Leadership team to ensure consistent, scalable support to sites and will be responsible for reporting on site success. In addition, they will lead coordination of site management and reporting on site success to local/national Board and organizational leadership.

Working in collaboration with other leaders and colleagues, the National Director of Site Success will be responsible for the following:

Organizational Leadership:

• Work with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to drive the implementation of the organization's strategic plans.

• Through leadership and management of Genesys Works’ site Executive Directors, mobilize and align organizational resources and talent in furtherance of its mission, vision and goals.

• Advocate for local sites’ needs and perspectives internally with organizational leadership.

• Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that operational decisions are data-driven and made promptly. • Partner with the CEO and CFO to ensure the organization’s financial stability through site budgeting and resource management.

• Develop a clear vision for how site and national leaders and teams will operate together, with an eye towards collaboration, innovation, local impact and efficiency.

Team Management:

• Support Executive Directors towards meeting and exceeding their site-specific program and fundraising goals and growth targets.

• Ensure each Executive Director has the staff capacity and infrastructure needed to maximize impact and achieve their goals

• Establish key performance indicators to measure operational effectiveness; track performance against those indicators, providing feedback and guidance and refining indicators as necessary

• Coach Executive Directors and provide ongoing professional development, mentorship, and thought partnership.

• Support site leadership in creating actionable plans for improvement based on data provided by Finance, Program, Corporate Partnerships, or Development teams.

• Lead hiring and onboarding of Executive Directors

• Through effective overall staff management, cultivate a work environment that embraces collaboration, transparency, open communication, and accountability.

• Ensure that significant developments and updates, including those pertaining to strategy and operations, are communicated to the site leadership effectively.

• Provide opportunities for the Executive Director cohort to share best practices, thought partnership, and systems for managing sites.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following professional and personal qualities, skills, and characteristics:

• 15+ years of experience in business, management, or strategic operations with increasing responsibility.

• Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to inspire, motivate, influence, and hold staff accountable to significant standards and goals and demonstrated success managing leaders to success.

• Experience working with organizations to identify critical success metrics and using those metrics to set performance goals.

• Strong understanding of KPIs, OKRs, predictive modeling, and scenario planning.

• Experience leading others through times of growth/change, anticipating challenges and adjusting course as needed.

• Strategic thinker with an innovative mindset, experience exercising judgment and a focus on measurable impact.

• Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and tasks while maintaining an attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse stakeholders, including board members, staff, donors, and external partners.

• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and collaboration across teams.

• Strong preference for an individual located within 30 minutes of a major airport; location in one of Genesys Works’ 8 existing sites a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $275,000 with a generous benefits package. The exact salary that will be offered will be determined based on consideration of the candidate's skills and experience and alignment with Genesys Works' compensation policies.
