Manager of Workforce Initiatives

Genesys Works is looking for a Manager of Workforce Initiatives who will play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of young adults' careers by guiding them through our A+ Certification program, Career Accelerator. This training is a government-recognized IT pre-apprenticeship program through collaboration with federal entity, Department of Labor and Workforce Solutions. This position will own the partnership between GW and WFS, trainee eligibility and all other program cycle communications. This management role will work cross-functionally to oversee everyday program operations and improvements to our existing database infrastructure, as well as onboard & manage trainers. Qualified individuals will have; overall knowledge of IT/CompTIA’s A+ certification, experience maintaining government partnerships and coaching young adults.

Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that trains and employs high school seniors and beyond to perform professional services for major corporations. Our mission is to provide pathways to career success for young adults in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Program and Recruitment
Build & teach professional skills curriculum to reflect IT-specific skillset including, professional skills training, workshops, events etc. working cross-functionally when needed

  • Work one-on-one with trainees to develop trusting relationships through mentoring and coaching throughout the program & post-training
  • Create & execute performance reviews throughout the program to measure and assure success in training
  • Recruit, interview, and select trainees through formal application process

Workforce Solutions

  • Manage relationship with Workforce Solutions identifying areas of opportunity to strengthen partnership
  • Own trainee eligibility process, coordinating with Workforce Solutions team; including creating &receiving invoices, reporting programmatic updates & outcomes, and handling sensitive trainee identifiable information.Operations
  • Manage training logistics, including allocation of online and physical resources, and coordination of facilities and equipment
  • Onboard and manage technical trainers by; maintaining weekly touchpoints, providing feedback, creating resources as needed
  • Assess candidates’ abilities, and skillsets for internal internships or external opportunities

Data System and Anaylsis

  • Maintain and analyze existing data infrastructure to identify areas for optimization, ensuring best practices through collaborating with IT professionals
  • Design and develop data solutions to address business needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform data analysis to identify areas of improvement and present findings in a clear and understandable manner

Reporting

  • Supports Sr. Manager, Workforce Initiatives in capturing staff and trainee data, program outcomes, timeline, etc.
  • Represent and advocate for Accelerator in meetings, conferences, and other events, sharing insights and engaging in strategy
  • Support marketing and development efforts by contributing to summaries, reports and other materials
