Salary Range: 90K-105K

Position Summary
The Application Engineer will play a key role in supporting digital adoption initiatives and driving the modernization of our data and application ecosystem. This mid-level position is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating software solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business needs.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer
Working in collaboration with other leaders and colleagues, the Application Engineer will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using standard programming languages including Java, Python, and PHP.
Build and manage web portals and applications using platforms such as Drupal and Salesforce Experience Cloud.
Develop, document, and maintain APIs to support system integrations and business processes.
Implement system integrations using Java, Mulesoft, and other enterprise integration tools.
Manage and optimize relational databases, particularly Postgres SQL.
Support DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and Infrastructure as Code for cloud deployments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to enable enterprise-wide digital adoption and process modernization.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
3–5 years of professional experience in software development and application engineering.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, PHP).
Hands-on experience with web development frameworks and platforms (Drupal, Salesforce Experience Cloud).
Strong understanding of API design and integration principles.
Knowledge of relational databases, particularly Postgres SQL.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment methodologies.
Familiarity with Public cloud environments such as Azure and AWS, and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Sage, or Workday.
Exposure to full-stack development environments.
Exposure to Automation solutions such as Automation Anywhere.
Experience with Enterprise Architecture practices.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in agile or cross-functional teams.
